  Angel fish is from the family of Cichlidae and belongs to the genus of Pterophyllum. These fishes are originally from South America. Different types of these fishes are found in Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Brazil and Peru. These fishes are named after marine angelfish, one should not confuse freshwater angelfish and marine angelfish. Angelfish bodies are laterally compressed, round in shape and have elongated triangular dorsal and anal fins.
