Guppies (Poecilia reticulata): Best Live-Bearing Freshwater Aquarium Fish

  Millionfish and rainbow fish are the other names for the guppies. Guppies originally appeared from  northeast South America and nowadays can be found in all over the world.  They're named  for Robert John Lechmere Guppy who collected  these fish on the island  of Trinidad. There are many color varieties of guppies. Based on  the variety , some guppies posses short , rounded tails , some V-shaped  and others can own  an elongated tail  half the  breadth of  their body . Tails can be of single colors or pattern of different colors. Male Male Guppies  usually have very slender body. Males can grow up to size of 1 inch.
