Tank and Water Conditions
Long tank with ample swimming space is the best setup for the danios. Provide strong current through filters or other pumps to feel them riverine habitat. Most of the danios are surface oriented, so place some of the floating plants to replicate their natural home.
Danios are able to tolerate a wide range of water chemistry and temperature. Maintain a good filter. Change of 10% to 25% of water once in a week or once in two weeks recommended.
Tank Mates
Danios are peaceful fish that get along with most tank mates, however they nip fins of some species. Good tank mates for the danios are barbs, Corydoras catfish, gouramis and swordtails.
