Calmness of Aggressive Betta Fish
Betta is commonly known as fighter fish. The name came from its aggression towards other male fish. Bettas are well known for being highly territorial, with males prone to attacking each other if housed in the same tank; without a means of escape, this will usually result in the death of one or both fish.The lifespan of bettas is 2 to 5 years with a clutch size of 100-500. Scientific name of the bettas are Betta splendens.
Maintenance of betta fish is easy compared to other aquarium fishes. Because of low maintenance and its diverse and colorful features, it is one of the most popular pet fish in the world.
As the name suggests these fishes may be aggressive but if you provide sufficient space to maintain their territory and the fish is in healthy condition, it will show its calmness. As a nature of his, he will show aggression if someone enters his territory.
Female bettas are not as aggressive as male bettas, you can keep them with other varieties of fish.
